[SOLVED] File Type / Restriction

Postby leisyaoron » Sat Sep 17, 2011 3:29 pm

File Type / Restriction doesn't affect the FLASH/HTML Upload Button. It is the upload tool that can only upload 1 file it doesn't restrict some file types or does not follow the file types that can be downloaded.

I do not fully understand you, which upload method doesn't follow by the file types, the plain HTML upload form or the flash upload form?

Oh, I think it's the HTML Upload, the one that can only upload 1 file at a time. It doesn't follow file restriction, for example I set that only .rar and .zip can only be uploaded the Flash Uploader follows it but when I tried it on the HTML upload it is still in wildcard.

Please post your URL to where DFH is installed in order to investigate further into your issue, because as far as I know the HTML upload method follows the same rules.

Yes, but if you choose a file type not defined and click upload, PHP will reject it giving the user an error msg.

Oh, I see. I thought they would be able to upload any file type. That's good that they can't because it'll pose a security risk if my restrictions are not met. Thanks!
