How to Add a MySQL Database?

I'm generally good with these things, but I cannot find where to add a MySQL Database for my life. In the readme on v1.1 it says that it requires a database, but it seems to be working without one? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Crynix, DFH does not require MySQL as it is a flat file database script. You are only required to chmod the appropriate folders as mentioned in the readme file.
